Raiders pulled the ATM machine from the wall of Debenham Co-op in the early hours of this morning, in the second raid on the shop this month.
At 4am the raiders loaded the machine onto the back of an Isuzu pickup after pulling it from the wall with an excavator. The pickup and ATM were found near Mendlesham later. The ATM itself had not been broken into.
Police are looking for the culprits who were seen escaping from the pickup and getting into a silver Audi A5 which had been stolen from Hairfield near Long Melford on Saturday.
Builders were on the scene by 8am and an East of England Co-op spokesman said they hoped to be able to reopen the store later in the day.
On February 1 thieves smashed the main door of the branch and stole cigarettes which were later recovered.
